My Garden Pal -garden desktop software and more than just a community to grow your garden.

For_Immediate_Release:

My Garden Pal is a software gardening package designed especially for gardeners. It is a website where you can display, discuss and share ideas about your garden with other green thumbs from all over the world and an application to store your information gathered.

Development of My Garden Pal has been driven by a desire for a user-friendly web experience for the gardening community. My Garden Pal arrives just in time for Christmas and offers a Gift Certificate program.

"We are absolutely delighted to announce this unique website specifically designed to make you a better gardener. For the cost of a pot plant, MyGardenPal offers you a new way of getting the most out of your garden and access to other keen gardeners from all over the world” said Cheryl Miller-Crispe, the founder of My Garden Pal.

Cheryl provided the innovation and inspiration to create this product using an international team of developers. She commented that "millions of gardeners will now be able to enjoy a better gardening experience."

Today's announcement marks the Australian launch of My Garden Pal. The program has already garnered rave reviews for its stability, trustworthiness and innovative features.

The My Garden Pal Web Club will give information as you’ve never seen it before. There are Chat rooms, Forums and Mentoring. This web community can offer assistance such as identifying plants, advice on problems or to have a term explained. Groups can be formed which may specialise in Orchids, Roses, Tropical species, Vegetables and many other topics.

Your Personal Library will remind you of tasks to be completed throughout each plant’s life time such as pruning and fertilising. My Garden Pal will also allow gardeners to perform fast and easy searches without relying on general search engines such as Google whilst staying in the familiar environment of My Garden Pal. Information can then be stored in a personal database. Expert gardeners with inside knowledge can also offer tips to other gardeners.

Lists of garden shows, the ability to make tags and print information and reminders, “What’s On”, FAQs, Tutorials and many more features are available to all users.

In January 2005 Cheryl Miller-Crispe started the development of a gardening software package designed to help gardeners. She created a prototype and demonstrated it to various gardening suppliers and groups. The response was overwhelming. Cheryl approached Peter Watkins, a former director of KPMG to form a company for the commercial development of the product. With limited funds and a second investor, they set to work to establish this innovative product.

After two solid years of software development all managed by Cheryl, the company engaged horticulturist Camilla Lazzard to join the group to contribute her experience in creating the basic database. Camilla works from home with her new born daughter and produces her work on line, a trend that My Garden Pal will continue. Marketing and sales company Flirt Creative was engaged to take My GardenP al to the Australian market and the product is now available.

My Garden Pal has had numerous endorsements from the horticulture industry, and all have wondered why it hasn’t been developed before. Thousands of gardeners, as well as government agencies and the business world will have contributed to the development of the MyGardenPal website.

The software can be easily downloaded or purchased on CD from the MyGardenPal website at for only $19.95.
