The Palatine Sharks defeated the Wisconsin Wolverines in 5-4 in a week one overtime thriller. The tone was set in the first possesion by the Wolverines when Ray scored a goal and pointed to the entire Sharks bench. Ray played valliantly while suffering from Back Spasms he scored all 4 Wolverine Goals.

The Wolverines nearly put the Sharks away when they had a 3-2 lead and the Sharks King Frog hit a last chance goal to put the game in OT. The returning Philop Sharky took over after that hitting 2 quick goals and ending the game suddenly against his former team. Sharky was a dominating factor on defense tallying up 6 hits in the week 1 game.

These two teams are slated to play 3 more times in the regular season.
