Carbon Free Solutions Ltd is offering a limited number of schools the opportunity to obtain solar hot water units with a retail price of $25,000 at NO COST, in exchange for the carbon credits. All the school has to do is to have the equipment installed. The cost of the installation may also be subsidised by an Australian Federal Government grant. You can improve your facilities whilst reducing emissions, all at no cost.

The solar hot water unit is a 900L solar heat pump which can capture up to 21MW-hr of solar energy per year. This is about 2.5 times the electrical energy used in a typical house. Potentially, saving up to 22,260 kilograms of CO2 in Sydney and up to 27,500Kg in Melbourne. Schools may have one or more units depending on their needs. Once the solar hot water is installed, the school will not only save electricity but also decrease their carbon footprint. This is a very limited offer which benefits the school and the environment.

“Installing solar hot water is an important first step in educating people in the changes needed to reduce Climate Change” a company spokesperson said.

Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) are specialised carbon credits and can be created by installing the solar energy equipment. The RECs are sold to offset the cost of the hot water systems.
