The founders of the new company have spent much of 2008 travelling the world to seek out the finest chess products, their search lead them to India and Poland among other places. While the online chess retail market is extremely competitive the founders of Regency felt that they could do a better job than many of the big players currently selling chess online. While many continue to sell their old chess designs through ten year old websites using product photos that were optimised for 28k modems the Regency guys are going with a web 2.0 approach that is going to drag the online chess sellers kicking and screaming into the 21st century.

The full range of products should be available on their site by the end of 2008 meaning that 2009 will be a big year for online chess sales.
