There has not been many wholsale changes to the way modern kitchen appliances work for many years. Cooking hobs traditionally have a set number of zones or gas burners, and the pan to cook with sits in a designated place.
This has now changed, with the introduction of an all new kind of induction hob from De Dietrich. The De Dietrich DTI853X doesn't have the standard zones to place your pans, it has 2 flexible Continuum induction zones which mean the pan will work anywhere across one side of the hob.
Braeg Heneffe, manager at InternetKitchenAppliances.co.uk says this hob will prove to be a big hit with the serious home chef: "This new idea works well due to the induction technology. Because the pan only starts to heat up when touching the glass surface, De Dietrich have decided it should work by using the whole cook top as a power source. You can use different sized pans, move them around and all without needing to be in a limited zone".
He went on to add: "I have seen the reaction from potential customers already - it's a great idea that people can really see the benefit to having in their kitchen. It's definately not another flash in the pan idea!".
The De Dietrich DTI853X has a high specification, including features such as boost function on all zones, touch control, memory function and start control. Child lock comes as standard on most De Dietrich hobs including this all new model.
