Impetus launches its generic framework for Test Automation –‘iLeap’

New Delhi, September 23, 2009: lmpetus Technologies (www.impetus.com), a pioneer in outsourced product development and engineering services, today announced the release of its generic framework for test automation named ‘iLeap’. iLeap aims to change the entire spectrum of automation testing and significantly reduce the dependency on automation engineers.
iLeap empowers the Manual Test Engineer by helping them in designing the automation test suite, using keywords based on business logic, in MS ExcelTM, which requires no coding or scripting. It brings down the test suite development cost by upto 40%. As compared to the traditional approaches for test automation, iLeap enables existing manual testing team to perform most of the automation related tasks, hence giving quicker ROI.
iLeap removes any dependency on scripting as it showcases the capabilities of Keyword-driven, Data-driven and Functional decomposition approach. By removing this dependency, iLeap makes it easier to add more testcases, quickly and easily in the spreadsheets. Even the changes in application is handled with minimal changes in the keywords,bringing down the maintenance cost by upto 60%. The test cases created using iLeap are compatible with most of the functional test tools available in the market which makes it possible to migrate from one tool to another with minimal efforts.
