The Nail Jack nail puller, the pragmatic new hand tool that digs, grips and pulls nails, staples and brads, has won the 2009 Handy Innovation Award, presented by Handy Magazine.
Now in its ninth year, the Innovation Award program is known for honoring products that showcase initiative, creativity, invention, reinvention and eco-innovation. This year’s champions will receive elegant trophies; honorable mention winners will receive award plaques. All products will be prominently featured in HANDY’s December 2009/January 2010 issue and at www.HandymanClub.com.
"We are honored to be named the winner of such a prestigious award alongside the likes of incredible companies like Fein, Rockler, Craftsman and Honeywell," said CEO Michael Foley, of Sun Valley Idaho, "and we love being a part of the solution for reuse, renovation, and the reduction of waste in our nation's landfills."
The Nail Jack nail puller and the Nail Hunter nail and staple puller allow for efficient and more cost-effective removal of fasteners while requiring no batteries or air compressors. "Our tools help remove one of the most time consuming and difficult economic barriers to responsible deconstruction and reuse, which is fastener removal," said Foley. "It's not high tech, or even very photogenic, but the Nail Jack will save you valuable time and money, and who doesn't end up having to pull a nail or staple or two at some point?"
Nail Jack Tools will introduce at least three more models in 2010, geared toward roofing, fence repair and demolition.
About HANDY Magazine
HANDY, the official publication of the Handyman Club of America, represents the core of America’s home-improvement experts: the “prosumers” who are always remodeling or improving something, woodworkers who spend every Saturday in their workshops and guys who are just as good with metal and machines as they are with maple and moldings. HANDY also speaks to many of the hardest-to-reach building trades contractors, men who are experts in their fields and opinion leaders among their peers. Published six times a year, HANDY has 750,000 circulation and 2.6 million readers.
